CAMPING and SWIMMING

Sasquatch Provincial Park is on the east side of Harrison Lake and has a beautiful warm swimming lake called Hick's Lake. Sasquatch Park is approximately twenty minutes from the Village of Harrison Hot Springs. Reservations for camping are recommended, as it is often full on weekends.

HIKING around HARRISON LAKE

1. Sandy Cove Trail: [MODERATE] Starts behind the source of the Hot Springs on the west end of town, loops around to the Harrison River and comes out at a private sandy beach. Can do loop in about 1 hour.

2. Bridal Trail and adjoining trails: [EASY] Starts at both ends of Naismith Avenue. There are a few places to enter and the trail goes all the way to McPherson Road near the south end of town.

3. Campbell Lake Trail: [DIFFICULT] Starts across from the fire hall on Hot Springs Road. It is very steep to begin with and can be difficult at times. It takes approximately three hours to get up to the helicopter pad that is no longer used. Provides lovely views of the lake and mountains.

4. Bear Mountain Trail: [DIFFICULT] Begins on Rockwell Drive on the east side of Harrison Lake about 4 km. up near the top of the hill. This is a long hike ending at the lake - about 19 km round trip.
